MARSEILLAN
is situated between Montpellier and Beziers
in the Herault department, of the Languedoc
Roussillon in the South of France.
Our Marseillan is a living French village
with a vibrant community and excellent facilities.
Its a charming fishing port on the
Etang de Thau a delightful saltwater
lake, studded with oyster beds, ideal for
sailing and swimming and with a delightful
climate can be enjoyed at any time of year.
Marseillan offers a wide selection of places
to eat from the Pizzeria to the Michelin
Star Restaurants with many in between including
Le Boulevard for family fare, Brasserie
du Soleil, Taverne du Port, Chateau du Port,
to name just a few.
Shopping is easy and convenient, with a
little Spar convenience store, and a large
Champion supermarket, plus a selection of
Boulangeries, a Boucheries,
and an indoor market. Then on Tuesdays
the whole town is taken over by the traditional
street market from 8 until 12, selling fruit,
flowers, baskets and bags, clothes, hats,
shoes, and of course the lovely provençal
pattern, in table cloths and fabrics.
The Church is open at all times to those
who wish to visit and town hall will be
able to advise you on where to go and what
to do, and provide a bus time table too
if you dont have your own transport.
Dont forget, the Mediterranean is
only 3 miles away, with its warm water and
golden beaches. The mountains only an hours
drive
.
With so much to choose from in the local
area, you will run out of time before
you run out of ideas
