BeauVillage Marseillan Accommodation

There are four nearby airports served by the low cost airline Ryanair www.ryanair.com, the fast TGV train service from Paris; www.tgv.com, and the uncrowded Autoroutes so reaching Marseillan couldn't be easier....

DRIVING

From the north coast of France the driving time to Marseillan on the Motorways is approximately 10 hours. Remember to take plenty of breaks, it is recommended that you stop every 2 hours. The speed limit on the French motorways is 130 kph (80 mph) unless the roads are wet, when the limit is 110 kph (65mph). The tolls on the Autoroute will vary depending on which route you take, but you can expect them to cost around £60 (90 Euros) each way. These can be paid with a credit card, which makes it quick and easy at the barriers.

From Calais, for instance, we suggest going via Reims and Troyes, Lyon, Montpellier. From Le Havre or Caen take the western route round Paris then follow signs for Lyon and Montpellier, and exit at junction 34 marked Agde.

Once out of the toll barriers, take the second exit at the roundabout, direction Bessan, then first right to Bessan. Drive into the village, over railway, over one set of lights and at the second set of lights take left turn marked “centre ville”. Drive into the town and take the left hand turn signed “Marseillan”. Once in Marseillan, follow signs for the centre, and get as close to the Church as possible before parking.

FLYING
With several low cost airlines flying into the small friendly airports in the South of France from London and the journey to Marseillan need not cost much or take long…. We recommend Ryan Air, and it is easy - it's a little cheaper to book these on the Internet (www.ryanair.com). They fly into Montpellier, Nimes, Perpignan and Carcassonne, and each of those airports is about an hours drive from Marseillan. British Airways also fly into Montpellier from London Gatwick, and we can arrange reasonable fares with them, but not usually as low as Ryan Air.

For Car Hire – we recommend you hire a car, at least for part of your holiday, and this can be arranged by us with Europcar at competitive rates. Please do not hesitate to ask for a quote.
Another alternative is train, and we can quote for Eurostar and beyond, or Motor Rail.

If you are looking for overnight accommodation en-route we can recommend the hotel group that includes the Formule1 and Premiere Classe hotels. For a list of their locations their website is www.envergure.fr
